I remember posting this song for a friend here a long time ago. Well Hop, you are my hero, as are all the others here, each and every one of us that fight this disease with such strength, dignity and determination.

my turn...

Although I am 18 months post TX I cannot help but be frustrated at times regarding my inability to do things. I realize I am older now and have to expect the changes in health. I accept that my arthritis has gotten worse and I can live with that. I accept that I am not 30 and cannot haul a full load of bricks in the wheel barrel, half loads are fine. I accept that everything I used to be able to do and loved to do in the yard takes me forever to get done.

I so pissed about this friggin' trigger finger taking so long to heal. The swelling in my right hand is just driving me crazy and I am so clumsy trying to use my left hand. I'm trying to water my back yard and cannot turn on the sprinklers without struggling with my left had and pliers. I emptied  my fridge of two kitchen garbage cans of expired food that was growing and damn near dropped and spilled it trying to get it out to the garbage can.

So much to do that I can't seem to get done. It's been 4 weeks since the surgery and I have another month before it should be healed up completely. I can't see that happening.

I'm off to the store where I will have to ask for help to lift dog and cat food from the shelf!

So Hope Life, here is my song for the day...

Okay, I feel better

Hey Hope LIfe

You had me doing the time warp in my chair.

Sweet Sue, I have joint pain post tx but certainly not trigger finger. Have to wait until November for an appt with a rheumatologist.  Sorry about the finger - too bad it wasn't a strategic finger to tell life what you think of getting old.

Hey Hope Life, Sweet Sue, RJS, DJ Turtle, BR, GR, and Everyone Else

I hear the frustration and understand totally.

Two songs come to mind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYyQcQSqpbI&feature=related (Embedding disabled, limit reached)  HERE FOR YOU!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0kEQSrqu8c (Embedding disabled, limit reached)  In this song, they talk about the courage of women giving birth but I would add the courage of those in treatment, battling the dragon.

Love Eva Cassidy - she died waaay too young of melanoma.  Sorry about the big print, my eyes are tired today.
