So far I have reinstituted permissions of our staff members (Administrators, moderators, etc.) as they have reregistered to the site.

On modifying posts:

Only Administrators & Moderators can modify posts and/or replys at any time. Members have a time limit window for editting their post after posting. The old SMF version allowed for this timed editing window, not sure on the newest version we are using now. I will research that more and find out.

Oh yeah!.... I hired greyrocker as my enforcer seeing he's bigger than I am and packs a bigger punch so be careful sweet sue. He hit me once and I still have the maple leaf mark on my cheek  :D The good thing about it is it allows me direct passage over the Canadian border.... its called a "grey area passport"..... :o

As to Mari's question on Smileys, we have several smiley packs we can use. The current one is the only one with animated smileys. It can be changed to non animated smileys. Will investigate what smiley packs we have installed and what ones I can download and install for use with SMF.

Not to worry sue...never hit a girl, never will. Viper, just in case....not a good idea to tell them at the border that you know me..... :o ;) ;D

To add to Viper's post, I provided the list of mods as I could remember where they were prior to doomsday. Let me know as you sign in where you need to be added as mods.

Gr, I knew you would hit me, but you were truly correct about the Karma.

that's what I meant. I'm getting tired. I think I need to get up and walk around a bit. I've been on here since 7 ish to get folks back on the site.

Another little thing that I miss is the illuminated small square that would show who was also online when you were reading threads. It used to be located under the profile name. I always found that real handy.

I also hope for the return of the shout box one day, but I realize it's not a priority right now.

All in due time. At least we're here to provide our experience, strength and hope with and for each other.

How cool is that?!

Viper, first hope you have had some rest...

I found another glitch, if you go to members area and click on a name it comes up Error occurred,I am sure you should be able to Pm members this way?...it also happens if you click the name as to whose on line, the only other way to Pm a member at the moment is to find a post on the forum and click under his name the pm box...................

Hi Pixie,

Ahhh.... forgot to set permissions according to post based groups (ie: Commoner, Page, Squire, etc.) These have now all been set so you should't have an issue now.
Let me know and thanks for letting me know. Much appreciated  ;)

Still trying to get use to the new administration interface for the site. I'm learning many of the new functions and how to activate them. Knew where they all where in the older version of SMF, but is taking me some time with the new version.

I did however find the "show online/off line in posts and pms" you requested greyrocker. All set now.! Everyone can now see,  (next to the user's name) on the boards  if they are online or offline. Also appears in the members list and profile pages. You can rest better now greyrocker  ;)

Thanks for pointing out this feature not being turned on.
