WELCOME HOME!!
« on: September 06, 2010, 01:07:28 AM »
Welcome home everyone!

Needless to say it was a fightening shock to come home from work, turn on my computer, bring up the site in my browser and find the words "CRASHED" on a blank white screen. Total panic set in and I contacted our web server provider to work on investigating the problem.

After a sleepless Friday night, it was determined that the database server crash caused major file corruption issues with both our site and its remotely stored backups. This litterally brought me to tears and feeling hollow knowing that 5 years of vested time and members postings were gone.

It took me awhile, but with some helpful words of encouragement from DougV, I proceeded with doing what needed to be done and fast...... get another forum up and running so our mission of support can continue for those affected by this disease.

So here we are. I new home. Can even smell the fresh paint on the walls. The old home will be sadly missed, but as greyrocker so nicely mention in another post, we are not gone.... we will always survive.

So I open my arms to embrace and welcome our members to their new support home, and thank you all for your patience while awaiting it arrival.

Viper, outstanding work by you to get this going! We need it for our hep c community, we need to continue to support each other, especially the newcomers to this disease.

Keep signing up, folks, let's all pitch in and make this continue to be the best HCV forum out there. I've seen the cheap imitations; they got nothing on us!

Viper,

Thanks so much for the work you put in getting this place back together.  We all need it.  I was a bit lost without my other family.

Viper,

You are an incredible person to spend so much time getting this site back up.  I took a look at some of the other support sites while this one was down and nothing and I mean nothing out there compares to the support on this site.  Fresh starts usually turn out to be a good thing.  Really thankful for all your hard work.
